I am a St. Louis still life photographer who specializes in the art of juxta-positioning. By arranging objects of both obvious and obscure beauty, I attempt to extract emotion or just dazzle the eye. In some cases, the object is created from scratch in order to 'leave the impression'. I consider it mixed media but flattened out.

New and old objects of varied colors, textures and symbols come together for the collective.

WHAT IS THE COLLECTIVE?

The collective is often a commanding yank into the absurd but also at times it is a more subtle nudge into the contemplative. My goal has always been to ask the viewer for that first moment and to steal the second.
